Steel Cut Oats with Peaches

See this content in the original post

Steel cut oats are such a nutritious, filling start to the day. We love topping them with peaches and a little maple syrup!

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 40 minutes | Makes: 8 servings

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup steel cut oats

  • 4 cups water

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Bring the steel cut oats, water, and salt to a boil. Stir, cover, turn the heat down to a low simmer. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, 25-30 minutes.

  2. Divide cooked oats into individual bowls. Drizzle each with 1-2 tsp. maple syrup, depending on taste. Top with sliced peaches.

  3. Enjoy!

Notes: Steel cut oats keep very well in the fridge. Don’t be afraid to make a big batch and heat as needed! Just add a little milk or water if they get too thick.
